Our Program

Rooted in the Bible, a classical catechism has always been based on three building blocks of the faith, and, thus the 3 modules are based on 

• The Apostles' Creed 
•  The Lord's Prayer 
•  The Ten Commandments

• Receiving mentoring or spiritual direction from a priest, deacon, or mature lay leader  
• Developing a Rule for Living 
• Praying the Daily Office 
• Practicing the ancient disciplines: centering prayer, lectio divina, breath prayer, solitude and silence, etc. Learning to feed one’s own soul  
• Deepening one’s relationship with God  
• Fasting  
• Giving 
• Observing sabbath rhythms  
• Participate in a ministry discernment

• Assist in teaching Catechism 
• Teach Adult Forum 
• Lead Bible Studies 
• Mentor and disciple others 
• Lead Daily Office Services 
• Joining with others to do outreach in the community 
• Serving at the altar: Acolyte, LEM, Lector, Altar Guide 
• Ministering to those in their homes: PLEM—taking Communion to those who can’t leave their homes
• Develop a catechism program for the parish.
