Building upon the foundation laid in ACTS year 1, the candidate receives more in-depth training to assist in teaching each the doctrines of the Christian faith as outlined in the ACNA Catechism as well as is equipped to serve as pastoral support alongside clergy and to engage in planting congregations within the Anglican Diocese of San Joaquin.
Year 2 consists of independent study with 11 online meetings. Students meet with their priests throughout the month for spiritual formation and mentoring in ministry. Students also complete training for the various licenses such as Lay Eucharistic Ministers, Pastoral Lay Eucharistic Ministers, and lay readers. Students deepen their biblical and theological knowledge through discussion, reading a,nd responding to assigned materials in specific areas outlined in the module content below.
